Business trips๐Ÿ›ซ๐Ÿšจ

Good morning, readers!๐Ÿ‘‹

How are you doing today?

That Glamorous Illusion We Keep Falling For.๐Ÿ›ซ✨

Ah, business trips... The corporate fairytale.

The Instagram story features the airport lounge, the petite espresso cup, and the blurred wing of the aeroplane.

The subtle flex: “Off to another meeting".๐Ÿ’ผ✈️

Because nothing shouts success quite like waking up at 4:37 AM to catch a flight that costs more than your monthly groceries.

Let’s be real: business trips consist of 10% networking, 15% logistics, and a whopping 75% existential crisis in a hotel room adorned with suspiciously beige walls.

First up, the airport experience. You arrive brimming with optimism.

You depart feeling both emotionally and physically violated.

Security checks where you must disrobe as if you’re auditioning for a low-budget spy film, only to be informed that your toothpaste poses a national threat.๐Ÿšจ

Meanwhile, the gentleman ahead of you nonchalantly brings along three laptops, six cables, and a small nuclear reactor without raising any eyebrows.

Then there's the flight.

Economy class: where personal space fades into a distant memory, and your knees gradually become one with your ribcage.

Extra points if the person behind you uses your seat as a punching bag.๐ŸฅŠ

Sleep? Absolutely.

If you relish micro-naps disrupted by turbulence, wailing infants, and the inexplicable choice to turn the cabin into a freezer.

Once you touch down, the real adventure starts: taxis, Ubers, delayed trains, cancelled connections, and that enchanting moment when Google Maps claims "12 minutes" but your inner self knows it actually means "45 and a breakdown."

Meetings, naturally, are incredibly productive.

Translation: the same calls you could have handled on Zoom, but now with inferior coffee and superior pastries.☕๐Ÿฅ

Everyone appears a bit weary, overly polite, and collectively pretending this could not have been an email.

Evenings are spent in solitary hotel rooms that all appear identical.

The same artwork. The same lamp. The same enigmatic stain on the carpet.

Room service turns into your emotional support system.๐Ÿ”

You browse Netflix for 40 minutes, watch 7 minutes of a show, and drift off to sleep with the TV still on. Living the dream.

Yet, we continue to romanticise this experience.

Business trips make us feel significant. They provide us with stories to tell.

They validate our airport selfies. They give us the chance to complain in ways that sound suspiciously like bragging.๐Ÿ˜

So here’s to business trips: tiring, chaotic, overrated… and somehow still a bit addictive.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to pack my charger, my charger’s charger, and my emotional resilience. Once again.๐Ÿ›ซ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ˜ด
